 Digital Marketing Intern

  • Help market & launch a program to athletes, coaches and sports teams

The Digital Marketing Intern will help create digital strategy and content to promote Pro Athlete Online’s digital and in-person programs. You will develop skills in analytics, content strategy, content development and execution, website management, and organic and paid marketing initiatives.  Learn to launch, test and adapt to create successful digital marketing programs. Get real-world experience, in a supportive environment, committed to your development. 

This is a remote internship and can be worked in your own hours to meet agreed deadlines. Applicants should be in a sports management or marketing related full-time college program, with an understanding of (or interest in) the Nth American prospect and pro sport landscape. This is a UNPAID internship. 

Responsibilities

  • Use analytics to understand and define audience personas and key performance indicators
  • Use analytics and observations to prioritize and strategize areas of content development, such as crisis communications, informative marketing, reputation management, entertainment, education, etc
  • Create content across digital platforms and social media
  • Collaborate with the Founder, Athlete Development Intern and Partnerships Intern as needed
  • Own the development and production of upcoming podcast

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree in business/marketing or sports management where an internship can be counted towards course credit
  • Ability to work approx 5 hours per week (can make own hours but will have weekly deliverables)
  • Familiarity and interest in Nth American sports landscape
  • Excellent command of english language, excellent communicator and writer
  • Proficient in creative design and layout
  • Comfortable learning and using digital tools and platforms
  • Takes initiative, works efficiently and independently – as well as collaboratively

Athlete Development Intern

  • Help design & build a digital education program for athletes

The Athlete Development Intern will collaborate with the Founder to help plan and edit digital content in Pro Athlete Online’s digital education tool. You will develop skills in analytics, education strategy, digital editing suites (video and images) and the Thinkific platform. Help shape how athletes apply the incoming NIL legislation to support their careers and build a brand that will withstand a crisis. Get real-world experience, in a supportive environment, committed to your development. 

This is a remote internship and can be worked in your own hours to meet agreed deadlines. Applicants should be in a sports management/marketing/communications related program, with an understanding of (or interest in) the Nth American prospect and pro sport landscape. This is an UNPAID internship.

Responsibilities

  • Use analytics to identify current and timely information for new modules and assess success of existing modules
  • Plan where new modules fit in to existing framework
  • Collaborate with Founder to plan outline for modules (media choice, lesson flow, partners, etc)
  • Collaborate with Partnerships Intern to attract and bring on board subject matter experts (SME), such as athletes, coaches, GMs. 
  • Direct SME’s throughout module production cycle
  • Edit raw footage and upload finished product to Thinkific site

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree in business/marketing or sports management where an internship can be counted towards course credit
  • Ability to work approx 7 hours per week (can make own hours but will have weekly deliverables)
  • Familiarity and interest in Nth American sports landscape
  • Excellent command of english language, excellent communicator and writer
  • Comfortable learning and using digital tools and platforms
  • Proficient in video editing suites such as Camtastia or interested in learning
  • Takes initiative, works efficiently and independently – as well as collaboratively

Partnerships Intern

  • Help forge and negotiate partnerships in the sport’s world

The Partnerships Intern will research and help secure potential partnerships between Pro Athlete Online and athletes, coaches, colleges and sports teams. This is a highly collaborative role with the Founder, Partnerships Intern and Athlete Development Intern. You will develop skills in research and analytics, proposal development, new business acquisition, negotiation and contracts.  Get real-world experience, in a supportive environment, committed to your development.

This is a remote internship and can be worked in your own hours to meet agreed deadlines. Applicants should be in a sports management/marketing/communications related program, with an understanding of (or interest in) the Nth American prospect and pro sport landscape. This is an UNPAID internship.

Responsibilities

  • Research to identify potential partnerships to support Pro Athlete Online’s initiatives in educating athletes and the sport’s community to build a brand to withstand a crisis
  • Collaborate with Founder to develop strategic proposals to athletes, coaches, sports teams, colleges and associations to help grow business opportunities
  • Assist in preparation and finalizaiton of contracts
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Intern and Athlete Developement Intern to coordinate creation of content with a partner, in line with agreed terms

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree in business/marketing or sports management where an internship can be counted towards course credit
  • Ability to work approx 5 hours per week (can make own hours but will have weekly deliverables)
  • Familiarity and interest in Nth American sports landscape, including US college sports
  • Excellent command of english language, excellent communicator and writer
  • Comfortable learning and using digital tools and platforms
  • Strong aptitude for negotiation
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Takes initiative, works efficiently and independently – as well as collaboratively
